Up for sale is a 2013 Saleen/Bondurant 620 special edition Chevrolet Camaro. Rare would be an understatement. It is the only 2013 Saleen/Bondurant camaro ever made. There were 2 made in 2012 and 1 made in 2013. Even better, this car was built for Bob Bondurant and was displayed at his world famous racing school. It has the same specs as a black label top of the line Saleen Camaro package but the Bondurant package makes it that much rarer. It also has the optional RS package from the factory.
This Saleen packs 600 horsepower out of it’s 6.2 liter supercharged LS3 motor and backs to a 6 speed manual transmission. The following upgrades are part of the package:
Saleen supercharger with asymmetric multi-lube screws
Low pressure drop internal intercoolers
High volume intercooler water pump with closed single pass system
Remote external heat exchanger
47lb fuel injectors
Cold air induction with high performance air filter
High performance dual exhaust with high performance mufflers
Polished stainless steel exhaust tips
3:45 final gear ratio
Saleen red butterfly induction hood
Saleen blade front grille
Saleen front splitter
Saleen side skirts
Saleen high downforce rear diffuser
Saleen aerodynamic rear deck lid with integrated spolier
Saleen exterior emblems
Leather and suede custom upholstery
Dashboard signed by Steve Saleen and Bob Bondurant
This Saleen has upgraded options as well which include 15 inch multipiece front brake rotors with 6 piston calipers which cost an additional $1,900 and an adjustable Saleen coil over suspension system which costs an additional $2,450.
The original msrp on this car was around $65,000 and it was the only one made in 2013. It is serial #011. Saleen retains the rights to the first 10 serial #’s of all Saleen automobiles as part of his contract but none were ever used. All the miles on this car were from 2 roadtrips to and from the Bondurant racing school in Arizona to Saleen headquarters in California. It is owned by Bob Bondurant and the title is in the Bondurant racing schools name.
If you buy this car, you can fly in and meet Bob Bondurant and get a picture taken with him and the car. You could also stay and do a Bondurant racing school course to learn how to handle your new 600 horsepower monster!!!(racing school course is not included)
This is a great collectible car and an awesome combination of 2 racing legends. It has the balance of both the Saleen warranty and the factory Chevrolet warranty. There was a 2012 Saleen/Bondurant camaro that sold at Barrett Jackson for $100,000 in January 2012. Do not miss your chance to own this awesome piece of history because being a 1 of 1 means that another one will never come up for sale!!!

For 1985, Saleen Autosport manufactured 140 Mustangs during their inaugural year of production. Vehicle number 85-0001, a demonstrator for Steve Saleen, lived life in a constant state of flux throughout 1985 and 1986.
Pulling duty both as a demo and press vehicle, 85-0001 continued the task 84-0032 began with introducing the “Saleen Mustang” to an unknowing public.
Shortly thereafter 85-0001 became a Saleen Autosport development vehicle, gaining revised suspension components, a built short block, in addition to 1986 model year appearance and interior items. A most notable upgrade were the 5-lug rotors and four wheel disc brakes.
After serving Saleen Autosport as the resident development mule, 85-0001 was reconditioned, regained the correct 1985 spec front air damn and then offered for sale.
85-0001 spent the last decade hiding from onlookers in plain view. Torched by Southern California sunshine and motionless for the past six years.

On display at the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration in Charlotte, NC
WORTHINGTON, OH – April 17 –Ford Motor Company’s iconic pony car, the Mustang, turns 50 this year and is being celebrated in style this week in Charlotte, NC. Visitors to the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration will be delighted by roaring exhaust notes, high octane fumes, immaculate paint jobs, classic pony cars and modern renditions of a venerable classic.
One of the best executed modern versions on display at the Mustang celebration is the creation of another icon, Steve Saleen and the team at Saleen Automotive. The Saleen Mustang offers performance, suspension, trim and styling cues that stand out in a crowd and provides an excellent platform for additional personalization and customization. Saleen’s new Mustang also offers an option never seen before on a Mustang: a panoramic, switchable, glass roof.
The breathtaking roof utilizes Guardian Reveal switchable glass technology, which enables glass to go from clear to opaque with the flip of a switch. This option – dubbed Saleen Frost-Touch Glass – gives Saleen Mustang owners the best of both worlds: a 360-degree birds-eye view from the cockpit as well as protection from the heat and glare, as desired.
“We are always looking for game-changing technologies that will help set our vehicles apart from the pack,” says Steve Saleen, CEO, Saleen Automotive. “In working with the Custom Glass Solutions team at Guardian, we are getting to see firsthand the value and impact glass can have on a vehicle. We know our customers will agree; our panoramic, switchable, glass roof is a thing of beauty and a true differentiator.”
The Reveal Glass equipped Saleen Mustang made its way from California to take part in the anniversary activities in Charlotte. In true Mustang fashion, it was accompanied by a pack of more than 300 other Mustangs making the eastward trek.
“We are proud to introduce our Reveal switchable glass technology to the automotive world with a respected and reputable brand like Saleen,” says Todd Baum, sales director for Custom Glass Solutions. “The Saleen name stands for quality to automotive enthusiasts, much the way Guardian is synonymous with high-quality glass. As both professionals and enthusiasts, we are proud to produce advanced technology like this in the U.S. for a vehicle that is an American Icon.”
The Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration takes place April 16 – 20 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and visitors can see the new Saleen Mustang with the dynamic, switchable glass roof at the Saleen stand in the center of the paddock.

Kicking off the celebration for the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at Saleen headquarters in Corona, California brought out some of the best Mustang in the country and even some from around the world. Mustang owners from the UK, Slovakia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and from all across the USA showed up to drive coast to coast. The drive will end up in Charlotte North Carolina at one of the largest Mustang parties of all time. Saleen is just on the other side of the airport from us so I thought I would swing over and take some photos.

Whitefish, MT / April 7th, 2014 / Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) has been steadily improving its top-line since the market crash in 2008 and investors have been noticing. Since the beginning of the year, Ford shares have increased 6.88% compared to the S&P 500’s 2.75%, Toyota Motors Inc.’s (NYSE: TM) -7.43%, and General Motors Inc.’s (NYSE: GM) -13.36%. At the same time, its valuation multiples remain lower than both of these competitors. In this article, we will take a look at Saleen Automotive Inc. (OTC: SLNN), how it could capitalize on Ford’s successful turnaround, and some of its upcoming projects including its work on the Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model S.
Successful Turnaround Strategy Ford managed to quickly recover from the market crash in 2008, with revenues rebounding from a low of around $25 billion per quarter in 2009 to nearly $40 billion per quarter today. While these figures are still well off of its highs of around $45 billion per quarter, management has steered the company in the right direction with an innovative turnaround plan involving both restructuring and new vehicles.
According to its most recent 10-K filing, Ford has been undergoing aggressive restructuring in order to operate profitably and to accelerate the development of their new vehicles. These new vehicles include an all-new Mustang that is set to launch in the United States this fall. The new model will be more customizable with three different engine choices and will feature superior handling that is enabled by a fully independent suspension. Ford’s vehicles have also been improving in quality. Global warranty repairs have fallen 66% between 2005 and 2013, suggesting that there are fewer incidents of warranty repairs per 1,000 vehicles in the first three months of service. New features like its SYNC in-car connectivity systems have also made its vehicles more advanced than many of its competitors’ in terms of digital capabilities.
Saleen’s Opportunity to Benefit Saleen Automotive Inc. (OTC: SLNN) specializes in developing high-performance cars built from base chassis of Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, and Dodge Challengers. In addition to these vehicles, the company produces supercars like its S7 that was recently featured in the Need for Speed feature film, as well as electric cars that are currently under development and set to launch soon.
Founded by Steve Saleen, the company has continually set the bar for both automotive design and performance engineering in street and racing applications. With an interest in fast cars from an early age, Steve was able to work his way up through the ranks of club racing to eventually start a professional career. In 1980, he finished third in the Formula Atlantic behind the likes of Jacques Villenueve.
After racing competitively for a number of years, Steve Saleen set out in 1983 to build the first Saleen Mustang. The Saleen Mustang had a fully customized suspension, special aerodynamics, improved handling, and a completely redesigned interior. The custom Mustang went on to compete in the 1986 Mosport 24-hour race, finishing first in its class. By 1996, Mr. Saleen was inducted into the Mustang Hall of Fame along with Carroll Shelby. Saleen has already seen a lot of success after becoming a publicly traded company in mid-2013.
During the 9-months ended December 31, 2013, the company reported vehicles and parts revenue that increased 179.5% year over year to $3,570,722. Consumer demand for high-end muscle cars continues to be robust and growing in the U.S., particularly as the economy continues to improve. Ford, too, has realized that there are many consumers who are looking for a greater choice of customization, have extra disposable income, and yearn for a return to the glory days of American muscle cars. The latest Mustang offerings attest to this trend and help to reiterate Saleen’s business model. Saleen’s branded products include a complete line of upgraded muscle cars, high-performance cars, automotive aftermarket specialty parts, and lifestyle accessories, while also having several unique projects in development.
In addition to its muscle cars, Saleen is also developing a next-generation American supercar along with zero-emission vehicles for commercial applications and consumer markets. Tesla Motors Inc.’s (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model S represents a key upcoming project that could further drive growth. Management plans to unveil more details relating to that project later this month.
