1991 Saleen Coupe # 91-073. 1 of 4 Coupes produced in 1991 and the only one in Black. This car is all original except for the drilled and slotted brake rotors, Magnaflow exhaust and the aftermarket stereo system, I have the original brake rotors and Pioneer stereo system that are included with the sale.

Interior is the highly desirable “Flow Fit” interior and is in excellent condition with no rips,tears or burn holes. Smells like a new Fox Body mustang did back in 1991.

Exterior is also in excellent condition with no dents,dings or scratches, there is a small corner that had been repainted above the passenger taillight that is hardly noticeable and the driver side fender had been repainted at one time in it’s life but I am unsure of what the issue was.

There are no disappointments in this car and will make a great addition to someone’s collection for it is a “Collector quality” vehicle, This car has no leaks, mechanical issue or problems whatsoever,this car has 63,405 original miles and could easily pass for a 20,000 mile car, this car is well known in the Saleen community and is well documented, If you google “1991 Saleen notch” there are multiple write ups, videos etc on this car. This car could be driven across country with no problems whatsoever, runs, drive’s and looks NEW.

Included with the sale are all of the documentation and paperwork/literature that I have on this car including the original window sticker, some calendars and magazines that the car has been featured in as well as a copy of the book “The history and development of the Saleen Mustang” by Patty Redeker (Owner Redeker Ford) that the car was featured in when it was new and signed by Steve Saleen.

1997 Saleen 281 Mustang convertible, red w/saddle roof & saddle interior. Saleen bought 5 Mustang convertibles from Ford in 1997 and converted them to the Saleen design, w/ special racing suspension system and drive train. This 1997 Saleen Mustang is the only red w/saddle roof & interior in existence worldwide. It was purchased by private auction in 1997 for a reported $60,000, and has been kept on display in a auto collector’s warehouse in Florida. The collector recently had serious heath issues forcing him to sell his inventory of over one hundred collector cars as stated by the dealer representing him. I am the second owner. To the best of my knowledge the car is in perfect condition. I had to buy a new battery for it, but otherwise it is perfect. The car is fitted with standard springs,for riding on the road, and has a second set of lower profile springs designed for racing. The Saleen mustang also has a specially fitted protective cover. This Saleen Mustang is beautiful and could be a high end collector’s car or the best gift a kid ever had from his dad.

I am selling my 1987 Saleen Mustang after owning it for 12 years. I basically bought the car from the original owner. The original owner traded the car in at University Ford of Peoria, IL. The sales manager of the dealership bought it and took it home. A few weeks later the sales manager decided to sell the car to me. This salesman never did title the car. The car has all the original paperwork and service records for the 16 years that the original owner had owned it. The car still had the original General tires that came on Saleens back then. I replaced the tires with Bridgestone Potenza SO-3 Pole Position tires. The old tires had plenty of tread left but, they were getting old, hard and made excessive noise. I kept the original General tires.

The car currently has 15,874 miles on it. I believe these are the correct miles after looking at the original tire tread and service records. The sales manager told me he removed the stickers that Saleen applied on the quarter windows because he thought they were an add on. The car appears to be completely original. There are no alterations whatsoever to the engine, exhaust system, drivetrain, suspension, body or interior. Everything operates the way it should in the interior. The Saleen installed Kenwood Stereo works the way it should and sounds good for a mustang radio back then. The car drives very well. The engine idle will adjust at times but, does not affect the drivability. Transmission shifts well and there are no differential noises. There are a couple of blemishes on the windshield. The remaining glass appears to be free of flaws or scratches. I was told the car has never seen rain. I have never washed it myself.

I would use a detail spray after a weekend ride. I did not have it in the rain either. The undercarriage is very clean. The factory 5.0 engine headers barely have any surface rust. The Saleen installed exterior trim pieces on the lower rockers have one small crack on each side of where the fastener is located. These have not changed in size since I have owned the car. The hood has some normal minor rock chips and there is a scuff on the lower front fascia. Check photos for these details. I would not be selling the car but, personal circumstances have made this decision for me. I am not interested in any trades.
