14-013 S302 Yellow Label
2014 Saleen Yellow Label Mustang #13 (14-013). Supercharged – 625hp. Less than 2,500 miles. I am the original owner. Extremely well cared for; never seen rain, never raced, never abused. Non-smoker. Stays covered in the garage. 100% authentic; signed by Steve Saleen on the dash and engine compartment. Recaro Seats. Custom car cover included, as well as rubber Mustang floor mats (original Saleen mats also included and never used). The only flaw on the entire car is a little slight impression of a receiver hitch on the front bumper where some jackhole barely backed into it. Other than that, it is in showroom condition.

88-0294 Saleen Mustang
Up for sale is a 1988 real SALEEN convertible mustang. I recently bought this for my wife however she would prefer an automatic. So my loss is your gain. This is a real Saleen with all of the Saleen components present with the exception of the original radio. This is a rust free car, not a rattle box either, with all the original body panels with all the tags. Clear carfax history as well.
Starting off with the body:
The body like I mentioned is in great shape and has good bones. At some point I would think this collectible should have a fresh paint job, as there are spots that are showing its age. The lower spoilers could use a fresh dose of 3M double stick tape, the worst part of the car would be the trunk lid, as the body work from Saleen (being that its 30 years old) is showing its age and the paint is lifting.

I would rate the interior a strong 8 out of 10 all the Saleen correct material is there and the most important seats are there. the interior is all original. Momo steering wheel, correct shift knob, door panels, cluster, and floor mats.I would say the interior could use a stream cleaning to make it fresh. I haven’t had a chance to do so.

Drivetrain:
Probably the most impressive part of the car, car drives straight and true and really has non of the typical convertible rattles associated with them. The tires i would say are 75%. Recently the entire brake system was overhauled with a tune up, New gas tank, fuel pump,and sending unit. Brand new clutch as well. Like i mentioned the car drives great.
I would to make this car a complete show stopper would be refinish the wheels and make them brand new.
These cars are beginning to gain value everyday since they are 30 years old. The collector car market is seeing a spike in fox bodies and more importantly the Saleen mustangs.
I believe its priced right and correct description about the car is given.

1997 Ford Mustang Saleen S281 number #217 This is a real Saleen that came out of CA. in 2005 it was built by Steve Marshall to SCCA Sedan Specs, This is a real Saleen that is basically stock with a full roll cage, with Saleens racecraft suspension. It has 13″ brakes on front (Saleen) 3:55 gears, X pipe and off road exhaust, 281 over head cam engine (285 HP with Saleen upgrades) It is not street legal. It has run at Laguna Seca CA in the Shelby open track events and has run at Most race tracks in the southeast of NASA since 2005. I bought it in June of 2005 and went racing with N.A.S.A. Mr. Barwick is the owner and had ran the Saleen in time trials after getting his license. The last time it was ran was at the 50th Mustang show at Charlotte NC. It is super dependable, awesome to drive and has never been in any incidents. Seat belts are out of date, tires are still great, just changed the oil and brake fluid. How do you tune an electric car? The American car manufacturer Saleen has found a way. Based in Corona, California, Saleen is most famous for their performance-upgraded Mustangs and Camaros. The decision to give the “Saleen treatment” to an all-electric car is certainly an interesting one.
The company starts with a Tesla Model S sedan and adds custom front and rear bumpers, which will set you apart from the thousands of other Teslas on the road. It’s not just aesthetics, the larger front grille allows for more airflow to help the car’s cooling system. There’s also an aero hood, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a high-downforce rear spoiler.
Whereas the OEM Tesla Model S has seating for 5 adults, plus an optional 3rd row seat for kids, the Saleen GTX uses a 2+2 layout. The interior has also been upgraded with premium leather and suede materials.
The Saleen GTX is not just a Tesla with some new clothing; there are some serious performance upgrades going on as well. From the Saleen website:
“Propelling the new GTX is the 3-phase, four pole AC induction motor and copper rotor with the upgraded Saleen drivetrain including an all-new 11.39:1 final gear ratio for quicker acceleration. Also new for the GTX is a Saleen specific MAXGRIP locking differential that allows each wheel to efficiently apply rotational force and maximize traction and grip in performance environments.” The company uses proprietary programming to give the car a “High Performance Calibration,” though details about that are scarce.

Besides the drivetrain upgrades, there are larger 14″ vented disc brakes, 21″ or 22″ wheels with high-performance tires, and a Saleen S4 suspension that includes anti-sway bars, specific rate springs, and Saleen shocks and struts. As a finishing touch, Saleen upgraded cooling system with a larger volume radiator, a high-flow water pump, and upsampled cooling fans. The combination of all these mods results in a car that looks and performs better than when it left the factory.
As with any car (and particularly with electric cars), it all comes down to the numbers. How does this compare to a Tesla Model S?
Well, a fully optioned-out P90D will run you $134,250 and puts out 463 hp (532 hp in Ludicrous mode). The Saleen GTX weighs in at $165,000 according to Automobile Mag for the 691 hp version. To be fair, the P90D price is the actual cash price, not counting any Federal Tax Credits or gas savings.
I think the idea of performance tuning electric cars is one that will continue to grow in popularity as a growing number of people begin to make the switch to EVs.

This Saleen has only been registered to 1 owner. Sold new at Raceway Ford in California on 10/19/1996. It is not very often that we get a car of this vintage with all original paperwork. We had the car just serviced at the Vancouver Ford dealership. The service included brand new BFG tires and fully inspected. This car is all original paint, and looks excellent. Only flaw is some spiderweb cracks in the front bumper. The interior is all original, and looks very very clean and no damage. The underside is just as clean as the top side. This car is beyond words, or the pictures I can provide. This 1000+ horsepower mustang, NHRA certified to do 8.5 seconds, and show quality without blemish to compete with some of the best cars ever built… Can’t be properly described with the words and pictures I can provide.
