750 bhp, 427 cu. in. DOHC aluminum V-8 with twin Garrett turbochargers, six-speed manual transaxle, four-wheel fully adjustable independent suspension, and four-wheel ventilated Brembo disc brakes. Wheelbase: 106.2 in.

  • Only 19 examples finished in Lizstick Red
  • Offered with just over 900 miles from new
  • Proudly recognized as America’s Supercar

If one were to take the badges off a Saleen S7 and ask people where they thought this car was built, the answers would be predictable. Italy would be at the top of the list, followed by Germany and perhaps England or France. Surely something this extreme, aerodynamic, and fast had to come from Europe. In fact, the S7 is American through and through.

The Saleen S7 is the brainchild of Steve Saleen, the owner and founder of Saleen Inc., a performance company known for aftermarket enhancement for Ford Mustangs along with being a formidable racing team. Unlike Saleen’s previous projects, the S7 boasts a completely unique and bespoke chassis originally developed for competition. Their racing car was followed with a series of road cars built for homologation. The S7 was appropriately fitted with an all-aluminum 427-cubic-inch V-8, which was wrapped in a carbon-fiber body. The car could sprint from 0–60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and had an estimated top speed of 220 mph. On the track, the S7R variant quickly earned the respect of some of motorsport’s most seasoned professionals, achieving class wins at both the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

However, while its impressive figures would match many of today’s premier supercars, Saleen decided that after four years of production, it was time to upgrade the already immensely powerful car. After fitting twin Garrett turbochargers, the S7 entered a league of its own. The engine now produced 750 horsepower and 750 foot-pounds of torque, thanks to 5.5 psi of boost. Its 0–60 time had been considerably shortened, dashing the sprint in just 2.8 seconds. Furthermore, its top speed increased to a mind-warping 248 mph. To ensure safe stability at those incredible speeds, the car’s front and rear diffusers were redesigned to increase the downforce by over 60%.

This Saleen S7, a Twin Turbo example built in 2005, is among the finest extant. The car was built with the optional equipment of tasteful, polished alloy wheels and a GPS navigation system. And to ensure factory condition, the car was also selected to travel in enclosed transport to its dealer. The car is just one of 19 total Saleen S7s finished in the attractive color of Lizstick Red. And to ensure the car comes with proper documentation, the owner carefully kept service records and a copy of its original window sticker. In January 2018 the car underwent a major service, including an oil and oil-filter change, flush and replenishment of the power-steering and brake fluid, replacement of spark plugs, and the replacement of ignition coils.

With a little over 900 miles from new, this Saleen is yet again ready to challenge the best of European supercars.

S7 (05-053) HEADS TO BARRETT-JACKSON, SCOTTSDALE AUCTION

Lot #1415 2005 SALEEN S7 TWIN TURBO

Auction: Scottsdale 2019
Location: SHOWCASE b-1
Reserve: NO RESERVE
Status: Available
Price: Request Bidder Info
Lot: 1415
Year: 2005
Make: SALEEN
Model: S7
Style: WIN TURBO

Description
Lot #1415 – This 2005 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo is one of a very limited number produced. Thanks to the two turbochargers delivering cool air into the mammoth 7.0-liter Ford V8 mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo produces 750hp and 700 ft/lbs of torque. Pulling 1.1 Gs in lateral acceleration on a skid pad, the S7 Twin Turbo has achieved some world-class acceleration numbers, reaching 0 to 60 in just 2.8 seconds and 0 to 100 in a mere 5.9 seconds. A standing-start quarter-mile resulted in an elapsed time of 10.5 seconds at 145 mph.

This car was built in February 2005 and delivered in April 2005. This particular car was the very first Saleen S7 Twin Turbo to be shipped by the California company to Europe. The car never even had a Window Sticker, as Saleen hadn’t settled on pricing of its European deliveries when this car was sent overseas. This Saleen S7 Twin Turbo made its public debut at the Top Marks Show in Monaco, where its admirers included Prince Albert of Monaco and actor Roger Moore, who famously portrayed James Bond in numerous films. An Italian company called DR Group then purchased the car, before returning to the United States after Saleen founder Steve Saleen regained control of his company in 2012.

Trimmed out in silver paint over a black multi-toned leather and suede interior, it comes with performance sport seating, a custom-fitted driver’s seat, autoclave carbon-fiber body panels, heat-rejecting tinted glass and an LCD display. This supercar has 240 actual miles on the odometer.

2008 Pre-production SMS 570

2008 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 6.1L Supercharged Saleen 570 prototype #1

This is a car with an extremely unique history. This car was purchased at Orlando Dodge in July of 2008 to be the first SMS (Steve Mark Saleen) 570 Challenger. It was shipped to SMS in August of 2008 with 8 miles. This is the 1st vehicle ever produced that was not a mustang with the Saleen lineage. As you may know Steve Saleen has a long history as an American racing icon and low volume supercar manufacture. The car build process was finished January of 2009 where it was unveiled at a launch party at a Orange county nightclub. https://soec.org/steve-saleen-unveils-the-sms-570-challenger/

After the launch the car was shipped to the Barrett Jackson auction in AZ for display. The vehicle was then sent to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance where it was on display on the 18th green. http://partywave.deviantart.com/art/SALEEN-Dodge-Challenger-SMS-135605616

It was also featured at the New York Auto Show. http://www.supercars.net/blog/2009-new-york-international-auto-show-2/

This vehicle was upgraded with a plethora of options including Saleen S4 specific-rate springs, S4 shocks & struts, swaybars and bushings creating a complete suspension system; with ground control managed by the Saleen styled 20″ wheels and Z rated tires. Aerodynamics and Aesthetics on the Black Label include a rear valance redesign which incorporates a S570 specific package consisting of a front & rear fascia, groundforce sideskirts, high downforce wing and front and rear splitter/ diffuser package. For complete information see Saleen’s site here where you can also see this very car. http://saleen.com/570-black-label.html

2008 Pre-production SMS 570
2008 Pre-production SMS 570

20 inch wheels, 15 inch brakes with cross drilled rotors, SMS leather, floor mats, sunroof, Saleen window banner, 570 chevron, hand painted interior pinstripe a ton of pre production parts on this car. it is still on all marketing material for the current Saleen brand.

Matt Black chevrons, window banner and wheels were added Jan. of 2016.

This is the only SMS 570 ever produced in a 6.1L, all 570 and 570X models start with the 5.7L powertrain.

There is a unique opportunity to own a true piece of American muscle car history. This car has under 30k miles currently and is in very good condition. It has always been garaged and covered. Vehicle has been driven and does have a few small spots and scratches.

I will say that I am more than reasonable on the selling price for this car. Original widow sticker price on this car was 91k dollars. You can take this car anywhere and it will be always the center of attention.

Car is located in the central Florida area and is available to be seen locally. Good luck bidding and feel free to email any questions.

Description
Lot #438.1 – This 1989 Saleen Mustang time capsule is #178 with only 661 actual miles (mileage not indicated on the title). It’s offered by Gas Monkey Garage. Ford didn’t do a 25th Anniversary Mustang, but Steve Saleen did, introducing his SSC on April 17, 1989. Based in California, Saleen was a veteran SCCA Trans-Am and Formula Atlantic racer. Saleen owned several Shelby Mustangs and decided to follow in Shelby’s footsteps and make stock Mustangs into personal high-performance cars. The result was a limited-edition run of specially modified 5.0-liter V8 Mustangs that are instantly recognizable by special paint, graphics and interior combinations that any high-performance automotive enthusiast will appreciate. Engine, suspension, exhaust and brake upgrades are enjoyed by only a handful of lucky owners that get to experience these cars first-hand. This particular example, serial #00178, has been meticulously cared for in a private collection and is only now offered for sale, having been stored in a climate-controlled environment for the past 27 years. 5-speed manual transmission.

S7 TWIN TURBO (06-073) TO HIT RM AUCTIONS, MOTOR CITY

S7 Twin Turbo 06-073
S7 Twin Turbo 06-073

Plymouth, Michigan – 30 July, 2016

2006 Saleen S7
Chassis no. 1S9SB18106S000073
Serial no. S7-06-073
www.rmauctions.com

750 bhp, 427 cu. in. DOHC aluminum V-8 with twin Garrett turbochargers, six-speed manual transaxle, four-wheel fully adjustable independent suspension, and four-wheel ventilated Brembo disc brakes. Wheelbase: 106.2 in.

  • One of the final Saleen S7s built
  • Two owners and just over 300 miles from new
  • Serviced in May of 2016 and ready for the road

Born and bred right here in the United States, the all-new Saleen S7 was the brainchild of Steve Saleen and marked his company’s first venture into the world of the supercar. While it had an excellent reputation for tuning Mustangs, the company had never before built and designed a car of its own name, and so the world definitely took notice when Saleen unveiled the S7. Boasting a completely unique chassis clothed in svelte carbon-fiber bodywork, the S7 was developed for racing, with road-going examples constructed to meet homologation requirements and please eager customers. Fitted with a mid-mounted 427-cubic inch V-8 engine at its heart, it could truly compete with the world’s fastest and most exclusive supercars, boasting a top speed of 220 mph and a 0–60 mph time of 3.3 seconds.

Looking to turn up the intensity of the S7 even more, Saleen introduced the S7 Twin Turbo in 2005 to great fanfare. With the addition of a pair of Garrett turbochargers, the S7 Twin Turbo supplied one of the fastest cars that money could buy, with even more horsepower, torque, and speed. Horsepower was raised to 750, and the car was fitted with new front and rear fenders, along with a slightly revised aerodynamics package. The car’s performance was nothing short of ludicrous, boasting a 0–60 mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 248 mph.

Of the 13 S7 Twin Turbos produced for the 2006 model year, the example offered here is one of the last, and therefore one of the very last S7s ever built. Finished new in Lizstick Red, it was acquired by its current owner from the gentleman who purchased the car new. Today, it is presented in absolutely factory-fresh condition and is said to exhibit exceptional build quality throughout. Having only traveled just over 300 miles from new, it is undoubtedly one of the lowest-mileage examples in existence. Last serviced in May of 2016, it still retains its original window sticker, as well as its luggage set and car cover.

Both today and when it was new, the Saleen S7 stood proud against Europe’s supercar establishment as a fully American supercar. Still incredibly fast even by today’s lofty standards, the Saleen S7 has already proven to be a highly coveted and collectible automobile and will surely only garner more attention in the future. One would be hard-pressed to find a more pristine example than that offered here, which has been carefully preserved by only two private owners and driven just over 300 miles… thus far!

This car is beyond words, or the pictures I can provide. This 1000+ horsepower mustang, NHRA certified to do 8.5 seconds, and show quality without blemish to compete with some of the best cars ever built… Can’t be properly described with the words and pictures I can provide. When turned on, this car shakes our entire building, and it sounds absolutely incredible when revved up, almost deafening. If you are a serious collector, or horsepower freak, this car might be for you. There is only one car like this in the world, and it would have cost $200k plus to build. It is a Saleen Speed-labs built car, with one of the most beautiful beryllium orange paint jobs we have ever seen. There are many custom one ‘of’s’ on this car. It has tons of modification to reduce weight, including carbon fiber body panels (hood, trunk) as well as much more. It is around 1000 pounds less than a similar Saleen. This car was owned by Ed Hinker, Mustang enthusiast and close personal friend of Steve Saleen. When Steve was asked a couple months ago about the value of this car, he said at least $130k. We are able to offer a collector this opportunity to purchase at a fantastic price. This is a LOT more car than a Cobra Jet, and much more unique. Don’t miss out on this beautiful Mustang.
